School District 197 Superintendent Blog
Welcome to my blog! The purpose of the blog is to provide an avenue for communication with parents and community members. I will be sharing our progress in implementing the District Strategic Framework. Periodically I will also post photos and share news of special events that I attend in our schools.

Dear Friends and Families of District 197,

I am sure you know by now that Tuesday’s referendum to fund projects in technology, early learning, and security failed.  Despite this setback, these three areas remain top priorities and are still viewed as central to accomplishing our educational mission and keeping students safe at school.

After a post-election analysis, we will determine how we plan to move forward.  If you have any particular thoughts about how we should proceed, please consider sharing them by clicking here.  I would like to hear from you.  Rest assured your comments will be collected anonymously.

As we think about our future, I’d like to share with you a blog post. Though a few years old, it remains a stimulating reminder that our world - and learners and schools - are changing.  http://blogs.kqed.org/mindshift/2011/03/21-things-that-will-be-obsolete-by-2020/

Have a wonderful weekend, and don't forget to share your love and affection with all mothers on Sunday!

Sincerely,

Nancy Allen-Mastro
Superintendent
